Despite the tough operating environment and competition in the industry, Nigerian Breweries Plc has rewarded its distributors and transporters nationwide for the value they added to the company’s business in 2017.
It also promised more exciting years ahead for consumers of its products all over the country.Speaking during the award ceremony in Lagos, The Managing Director of the Company, Jordi Borrut Bel, thanked the distributors for the longstanding relationship and the value added to the business last year.
“As partners for greatness, we need you now more than ever before to win. The environment is more intense and the competitive landscape continues to change every day locally and globally, “he said.He added that despite the challenges in the operating environment, the company did well in 2017 and achieved many milestones as a result of the partnership with them.
He charged the distributors to stop fighting each other and rather challenged them to be resilient and build better relationships as they set out to achieve their mutual business objectives in 2018.‘’We need you to win the battle with us. Our focus this year is our consumers which is our boss’ we will continue to put our customers first and do everything possible to excite them’’.
On Competition, Borrut Bel disclosed that the company is prepared for the challenges of the years ahead and sought the cooperation of the partners to win.He said that the company is ready to continue its leadership in the industry, he stressed that the company has been in the country for 72 years and will continue to win every battle.
He lauded the partners for long years of support and affirmed that the company looks forward to a more rewarding relationship with them in the years ahead.Also speaking, the company’s Sale Director Mr. Uche Unigwe explained that the annual award was conceived to be a celebration of stars of the brand on their excellent performance in the preceding year. He noted that the theme of this year’s award:“winning more together”, was conceived to recognize and reward the excellent performance of the company’s distributors
In the exciting contest, the last year winner, Ken Maduakor Group Limited from Nnewi in Onitsha marketing zone who set an African record in 2015 by selling more than five million cases of beer and broke his own record by selling more than six million cases in 2016 beat two others to clinch the National Champions Award and the company’s best distributor for 2017.
Ancapas Global Investment Limited from Kaduna won the National Key Transporter Award and got a plaque, an award trophy and a Mitsubuishi L200 double cabin 4×4 DC Van. Priwan Ventures Limited which won the raffle draw for the night got a Mitsubuish L200 van.
